Instagram influencer and gorgeous soon-to-be mum, Alida (@thesocialatlas) shares with us her recent family holiday with husband Brent at the Ramada Golden Beach.

Before our little bundle of joy comes out and says hello to the world, my husband and I decided to escape to the beautiful Sunshine Coast to relax and spend some quality time together.

We spent two blissful nights at the lovely Ramada Resort by Wyndham Golden Beach in Caloundra overlooking the Pumicestone Passage. We have been absolutely spoiled with the perfect weather and the pool here is glorious – we’re beyond thrilled!

I’m so excited to tell you all about our quick romantic getaway!

Perfect Holiday Spot

Mesmerizing sunrise view from the resort.

Sunshine Coast has always been one of my bucket-list holiday destinations and it feels amazing to finally be able see it and spend an amazing time here with my family.

With so many spots to visit nearby it was almost impossible to pick which ones should we see first! I must say, Caloundra is a really beautiful spot for holidaying with the family. There are a lot of places to enjoy and beaches to explore! We started our day off by enjoying a beautiful breakfast right on the beach at King’s Beach and enjoyed the sights and the warm sea breeze.

Golden experience at Ramada Golden Beach

Brent and I had such a perfect two days!

The family-oriented holiday accommodation at the Ramada Resort by Wyndham Golden Beach is superb! Brent and I really appreciated how well we were taken care of during our stay.

They have everything you need for a fun and relaxed time – amazing views, relaxing spa, a heated pool with a slide, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, tennis, DVD rental and a kiosk with fresh coffee, alcohol and snacks.

We thoroughly enjoyed the heated pool which is a big plus, especially during the chilly season.  I loved hanging out peacefully at the cabana too – hearing the faint sound of waves crashing while reading my book and just watching the world go by.

Just within walking distance from the resort is the Chill Café 89 which is fantastic for breakfast.

They offer classic brekkie dishes, and the outdoor setting overlooking the waters adds up to the overall ambience of the place!  Plus! – you also get to be treated to live music every Sunday and get free coffee if you’re checked in at Ramada Golden Beach. Winner deal!

Food and views galore!

We spent a lot of time at King’s Beach and had a very lovely dinner at Mets on Kings on Sunday night. Mets’ courtesy bus picked us up (so convenient!). This is so useful for mums and dads who want a sneaky beverage (post pregnancy of course) and not have to worry about driving later on.

On Sunday morning, we had a delicious breakfast over at King’s Beach Bar and had coffee with a spectacular view of the beach.

If you don’t want to leave the resort for the night, the Copper Spoon Thai restaurant and bar inside is a perfect option. The servings are huge so it would be perfect for families and groups wishes to satisfy their Thai food cravings.

Didn’t want to leave!

We both had such a wonderful time discovering the place and relaxing at the resort that we wished we could have stayed longer! I was more than glad that I was able to have this kind of alone time with my husband before we finally become parents a few months from now.

Can’t stress how beautiful the Sunshine Coast is and we will definitely be back again someday for another family holiday!
